Velvet Update

I am working on a new version of Velvet Studios. The site will have a new look and a new purpose. It will be a hub for all things design. Music, movies, graphics arts. While we'll still be open for people's business and will be possible to still purchase design packages, the main reason Velvet Studios is to showcase our work and our favorites of others. The goal is to help people discover the art of design and the design or art. To become connected and entertained by all the new fascinating ways to show our creativity. First day of College.

Today was such a long day. But a great day. Today was my first day of college! I wish I could have brought you along with me. But I'll just describe it for ya. Waking up at 6 feelings like high school did. Which is lame, but I have English as my first class, so its pretty mellow. All my instructors are female. I am not sure why that's important. Ummmm... Oh and I think I am dropping a class already. I just need to find another course to help me continue on my new major. Yep. My new major is (almost) officially psychology. I am super excited about it. All and all, fair day. The rain made it ever more amazing. I loved it. Oh and God is soooo good. Seriously only because of him am and I peace now.

Major Change?

Yep. I am thinking about a major change for my college future. Its a spontaneous thought, but its something I really needed. I will reveal what the change is when it all comes official. But as of right now, I need to figure out how far I am taking this change. Class changes? College change? Who knows. Prayer please. This is HUGE.

Today

Bittersweet. Everyone has left Chandler. Including Sarah. But this means that I will be up at NAU and ASU a lot. Which will be cool to get out of the heat and abandoned city I now live in. I am really proud of Sarah and all my friends that are seriously following God's plan.

In all seriousness, I am glad everyone is moving on, and that they're paths are being written as we speak. Recently, I realized that my path is also being written. While I may not see exactly what God has in store, I can rest assured he's got a plan. And its perfect.

Camber was amazing and spoke right to my heart. Honestly this is the utmost feeling of bitter sweetness I have ever felt. Trekking into the unknown.

"Because You Left"

Thanks do our dear friends, Mr. Cuse and Mr. Lindeof, we know alittle more about season 5 of Lost. The two unveiled the title for episode 1 ("Because You Left") and they should start filming it next month. January 2009. Thats a small price to pay. I can't wait.

What an eventful past month. June was probably the most busy, eventful, crazy month of all my summers. So much was done, discovered, and reclaimed. I can't really put into words what a rollercoaster this has been. Good and bad, but mostly good, thankfully.

Well the world keeps spinning, and my life keeps ticking. Lets see what this month has to offer.

Psalm 139 (Part 1)

Psalm 139: 1-5

1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.

This first section strikes a lot fear into my mind and heart when I first read it. This might be different than some people. Some may read this and just think that God just simply knows a bunch of stuff. As if it would be a cool thing if he could come down to earth and put Wikipedia to shame. For me it was the actual realization that God knows not just facts and great wisdoms, but he also knows me. But not just my personality, but who I am, and what I have done, and what I am going to do. He knows of the sin on my hands: past, present, and future. But since we are humans living in the future I think that is why it scares me the most. Whenever I commit a sin right then and there, I can count on God knowing about it. Being right there when it happened. How scary is that?

It’s like when you were a kid and you wanted the cookie out of the cookie jar. Your mom said no, but as soon as she left the room you were going to make a break for it. As you were pulling the delicious cookie out of the jar, holding it high in victory, there your mother came. Standing there and watching you as you went against her will to fulfill your desire. For me, it’s the same thing. Now I don’t know about you, but I love my mother, and I would never want to hurt her feelings like that. The feeling of letting someone down that is close to you, is a really crappy feeling. And with this passage it gives that same feeling. Because right then, when we sin (especially when we know about it right then), we know God is there. We didn’t win or get away this time. We were caught red handed.

So not only does God’s power extend to the point where he knows when I am leaving the house or sit down to dinner, but also to the point where he knows my feelings and my very actions. He knows. Past, present, future. Now shouldn’t this change the way we think, act, and simply do things? Hopefully it will. Because we should we be thankfully that although God knows of all our transgressions, through Christ our sins are forgive and we are set free.

Hume Lake

I am going to Hume Lake for the next week. I am leaving tonight at midnight, and I have still yet to pack. This is awesome, considering I have three more hours to do this and I am still obsessed with messing around with my new Mac Book Pro. I am going to miss it, but I am even more excited to see what God is going to do in my life and the lives of others around me. Yay God. And yay Wildwood.

Yea. I got a blogger a while back. Don't use it too much anymore. If anything I like wordpress a lot better. Either way, blogging is easier said than done. I might get into it more, but only time will tell.

Well it has been a while since I last updated my blog so here we go...

Yesterday was me and Sarah's eleven month anniversary! So that was exciting. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see her at all. She's kinda not feeling to good right now so I let her sleep away her illness. Also, I just got my new iPod Touch. And its amazing. That's all I have to say about that. Its good to have an iPod after such a long time without one. Wow, that was brutal...

Right now I'm just busy with college stuff, work, and trying to see my girlfriend more. I miss her a lot. Any who, thats a super short update for ya. I'll be back on later. Peace!

So recently I got a Flickr. Im in love with it. I don't know what I haven't gotten one until now. But my favorite part is being able to take a picture with my phone and message it Flickr without even touching a computer. Yay-ness. Thats freakin awsome. Now if only I could get an iphone. :(

Other than that, I'm off to my second week of school. I'm surprisingly fine with it. It's just work that's getting me down. They aren't being very cooperative. We'll see how this turns out. But I work four days this week. So it will be interesting.

Just started work at the Village. Wow. Tiring job. My (right) arm and legs are tired from all the walking a busing. Pretty much, Ryan was supposed to train me, but I just kinda walked around and trained myself. I don't know. Shouldn't be too hard, but now I know that I'm stuck with it as a job. Nice people work there too. I'll keep you posted on my exciting life... ;)

School is coming...

Yep. This Monday, Hell is comin' to earth.

You see, I'm not ready for school to start in the least, but its the business that I'm looking for. I hate being home all day and having nothing to do. Even if its for like half a day, cause I'll go crazy if I don't get out and just DO SOMETHING.

So I'm kinda caught between the two. I want school to start so that I'm not bored all the freakin' time. But I don't want school to start because... because its school.

New Job!

Well today I am finishing my final stuff for my new job. Thats right. I finally got a job. The Village is where I'm going to be working now, along with my ten (billion) friends who also work there. The pay is nice which is why I picked it, but I guess it doesn't hurt to have friends work there too. It'll be cool I think. Ill start soon, hopefully. Probably around the same time I start school. We'll see. Thats it. Peace.

Stolen iPod

Well... my ipod was recently stolen out of my car. I dont know what the deal is. I could have sworn that I shut and locked the door, but behold! There was the frickin door open when I got outside. My iPod was long gone.

Im still kinda bitter about that. Now I have to live with my stupid 6GB iPod mini. :( Compared to my amazing 30GB iPod.

So ya. Can you tell I am bitter? :(
